Here We Go Again

Thanks everyone,

We now have a plan in place, which makes me feel much better. Just waiting to have an infuser port installed and then start on chemo again. Had a lot of questions answered by the Oncologist this week, has only attacked one bone in my chest are, the manubriuma, but doesn't look like it has infiltrated into my bones. it seems to be localised in the one area though in some muscle and nodes and under the arm, but  doesnt look like in any organs  yaa.  They reckon the one found in my left breats is a new Primary but has also got into the Lymph nodes. Looks all might be Hormanal Receptive but not HER2 receptive so when finish chemo will continue with Femera, to keep it at bay.

Oh Gaylene I was so sorry to read your story. It all seems so unfair but this thing is never fair is it? I am thinking of you and wish you all the best. I truly hope things turn out well for you. So sorry to hear your news of recurrence and a new BC. I wish you well and hope your second lot of treatment will be manageable. I'm trying to decide if I should have a prophylactic mastectomy at the time of my reconstruction. Some Drs think this is crazy, but there seem to be many ladies like yourself who have been unlucky enough to have it a second time. My first one did not show up on a mammogram, and an ultrasound showed only what looked like a 4mm cyst. This turned out ot be invasibe ductal carcinoma, grade 3 and 21mm long. That was 7 months ago, and I'm sure I will start worrying about the other breast, and a negative mammogram won't give me the reassurance that it should give me.

So sorry to hear your news.Last year I had my second serve after being clear for 7yrs,Mine came back in the same breast,same spot so still classed as early b cancer.I am lucky in that respect. But it's just like a kick in the guts and you have to start all over again when you thought you'd moved on.I haven't got my confidence back yet -still feel like a ticking time bomb.It sounds like a tough week ahead for you.Hope a plan gets sorted out quickly for you.
