So sorry to hear your news of recurrence and a new BC. I wish you well and hope your second lot of treatment will be manageable. I'm trying to decide if I should have a prophylactic mastectomy at the time of my reconstruction. Some Drs think this is crazy, but there seem to be many ladies like yourself who have been unlucky enough to have it a second time. My first one did not show up on a mammogram, and an ultrasound showed only what looked like a 4mm cyst. This turned out ot be invasibe ductal carcinoma, grade 3 and 21mm long. That was 7 months ago, and I'm sure I will start worrying about the other breast, and a negative mammogram won't give me the reassurance that it should give me.
