Oh Pammy!!! I'd be really upset too!!!! especially as it seems everything was set based on your diagnosis from pathology, you mentioned Grade 1, is it IDC or DCIS? or something different? and what stage did they have it at? its so complex and there are so many factors they take into account. Having said that!!! Just maybe its part of his job to talk through Chemo and give you an option. It DOES NOT mean you have to have it or are having it! Let us all know how your appointment goes!!! I say this as my first diagnosis in 2011 was DCIS I was NOT referred to an Oncologist, my Surgeon sent me to a Radiologist then onto Tamoxifen. With my recurrence in 2015 in my scar, once I had lumpectomy and got results I was sent straight to an Oncologist, so it was different. I was ER+ only, clear nodes and margins, Stage 2 but Grade 3, it was the Grade that determined Chemo for me. So hopefully they can clear up the confusion!!! Big Hugs Melinda xo
