  • Hey luvlife

I'm pretty good thanks...just finished treatment back in May and trying to get some normality back.  I've returned to work part time - Mon-Thurs and I'm really lucky to be working with a great and supportive group of people.  I've had some hiccups along the journey and after I'd finished but overall I'm ok.

Now I'm trying to give back to the cancer ward that treated me and this network as I've had so much help from them.

But have to be honest - very glad it's all finished as I had a very rough time...but I'm grateful to be here.

Do keep in touch....oh and where do you live?  Are you in Melbourne at all?  If you are I've started up a group for ladies that live in the Eastern suburbs - doesn't matter about their age or stage of journey (or if they are advanced bc) - just want to contact ladies who live around the same area with a view to having a few social outings as well as blogging together on line.

    Take care

    Luv Helen

  • Hi ladies

Firstly let me welcome you to the network and say I hope you're coping ok.

I do hope Liv that you can connect with Dr Mainwaring and hopefully you'll get some answers to your very important questions.  Thanks to Serenity11 for the great advice...I'm a believer in serendipity/fate and if this isn't the doctor for you, then I don't know who would be...considering you were emailing to him when Serenity's post arrived!

I hope you don't mind but I also just wanted to assist you with help with the Network.  Like you I found it a little hard to get around until I came across the help page.

I have posted the link for you - so just copy/paste that into your browser (make sure you're still logged into the network) and have a good read of it.  It provides answers and questions and a bit of a "how to" for the network so hopefully you'll find it easier in the future.

Here is the Link :  http://www.bcna.org.au/node/476

Do keep in touch and good luck.

    Luv Helen

  • There is a TN group.  Click on My Groups and search.  There are about 60 of us.  I am in Brisbane.  TN metaplastic.  Stage 3 Grade 3.  Negative nodes.  30mm tumour.   Finished chemo and about to start radiation.  My doctor is Paul Mainwaring, HOCA (Haematology & Oncology Clinics of Australia) Mater Hospital Brisbane.

I am coming over to Perth in December for the first time.  Happy to meet up and chat if you need.
