Hi Ladies,
How long did you wait to colour your hair after Chemo & did you use natural hair colour or a salon product?
Warm regards
Robyn

Yes I don't think it is long enough yet, but will look into it XX
Thanks :)
Hi Robyn,
I had my hairdresser colour mine after only a couple of months. It was still quite short and at that thin fluffy stage. It was quite grey and I wanted it to look darker as well as fuller. My hairdresser always uses ammonia free dyes. I had it done again around the 5/6 month mark. It makes me feel better and my hair is growing just fine. I have had a couple of trims too, so that it looks more like a pixie cut than chemo hair! I think whatever makes you feel good :-).
Hi Robyn I was the same as soon as it was long enough I had the hairdresser colour mine. My hair grew back really curly on the top and silver grey. I went blond for a while but soon returned to the red purple colour I had before. I trusted my hairdresser to help with the decision when to start
Hi Robyn!
I haven't had chemotherapy but have had radiation on my C2 to C5 area and lost a fair chunk of hair from that area! It has taken over six months to grow back! I am on letrozole which has caused my hair to not grow much and thin out! Had a hair trim yesterday and took the plunge and my sister in law coloured for me! I got some herbatint from the health food shop! It has covered my grey hairs really well and it feels and looks so much better! There are a variety of colours! It was very easy to apply and it's completely natural!
Good luck and my very best wishes to you

Get it done when it's long enough ! Mine was grey too like steel wool - bloody awful! Had it coloured and a treatment and it was gorgeous and soft , no problems. It's most important to suite yourself. Your boobs and hair too! Go for it !!
Yep same here. I asked Oncologist & all she said was that I might want to wait till it was long enough for the hairdresser to get hold of !!!.......which I believe was around 7 months after chemo finished !
Hi Bep,
It is such a big thing your hair, I am not happy with the colour of my hair "Grey" & I feel like it is still defining me as a Cancer Patient. I only finished Chemo in November & was told to wait 12 mths before colouring, as I am going back to work would like to feel better about my appearance. Thank you so much for your feedback. Xx
