Hair growth:)

I am putting this new pic up of my hair growth!I took this today, and it is 11 weeks after chemo.Grey with patches of white, but I feel happy with it:) I feel well, and my hair is not that important to me at the moment.Perhaps I will feel differently further down the track, but at the moment,I really like the 'easiness' of hair like this! Hope, you are all doing OK:). Cheers xoxRobyn

  • Many people ask "Is that your natural colour?" They are surprised as to how dark my hair is with very few grey. It is darker than before chemo, but I think that is because it is not as sun bleached.

  • love it Robyn. you seem like such a positive woman and your comments help me to look forward. x

  • Hi Robyn,

Like you, I was just happy to have hair of any colour!

My photo was taken 10 months after chemo finished and is the natural colour it grew out.  After 6 haircuts, the curls have become waves and it's easier to straighten.  Actually, I like the grey and don't intend to colour again, so no re-growth for me either!  Completely happy as it is.

Deanne, it took a year to get pink toenails back, and they are still improving.  I think we get things in perspective nowadays, and you're right - happy and healthy is the goal.  All the best,  Michelle x

Not a bad crop of hair:).

I think I will keep my short when I get them back!

  • Three weeks after final chemo and impatient for more than sprouty bits of various shades. Much darker than I was expecting.... Looks like the new me could be grey! Still warming up here in Oman so can wait to have enough cover to go wig less! Julie :)

  • Hi Deanne,if I'm really honest here(!) I have to say that my hair was probably this colour before, but because I coloured it,I don't really know how much grey there was!I used to worry about the day that I no longer wanted to colour my hair, and how I would grow it out!A little girl that lived with us last year, always used to say,"Robyn, you've got regrowth" I am determined not to colour it again,so as I won't have that problem ever!!My finger nails were discoloured, but they are starting to look a lot better:) Cheers Robynxox
