hi everyone.i hope you all have had a great weekend. So I completed 4 x AC at the end of September and I am halfway through my carbo/taxol treatment. I have 6 taxol and 2 carbo to go.My question is: has anyone experienced hair growth on this regime or even just taxol (I don't know if carbo is supposed to cause hair loss or not). My hair seems to be growing back and I have the taxol fuzz. Enough that I can see my hairline and whilst not super thick, seems to cover my head as well as being about 1cm in length.i do understand this may change and I am being prepared for that as I had significant hair loss on AC (lost all my pubic hair, arm pits, nose and thinned eyebrows and lashes).In saying that, my pubic hair has grown back, along with armpits and eyebrows and lashes have regrown too. I never lost my leg or arm hair.my onc said that as I am young (30 yrs), my body is trying to regenerate itself very quickly. Just looking for people's experiences with this? Or if anyone has experienced a similar thing. Thanks in advance x

Hey! @ccasper I had 4 FEC and 8 Taxol ending in December, and I lost every hair on my body LOL! though Im much older at 48yo. My hair only became peach fuzz once I finished treatment and then eyelashes and eyebrows came back slowly as well. Im 11 months post and have a full head of hair curly/wavy. It starts out as fuzz but then grows into your normal hair. I know some ladies have had hair grow through treatment but I was as bald as a badger LOL. Its a wait and see worst luck! Hugs Melinda xo

My hair grew back on taxol, started as a fuzz then got stronger. I was surprised as I assumed hair would not regrow until some time after I stopped chemo. My eyelashes had all gone (but one!) and I was sad to see the last one on my cheek until I realised that a tiny line of new lashes had pushed the last one out!! Hooray! Hair went through all sorts of changes, for a long time, but it was there. My lashes did not grow back long and lush, just rather short as they had always been. No harm in hoping

Thanks @melclarity @Afraser i know everyone is so different, was just trying to gauge that I may not be the only one that had experienced it. Hopefully it all stays there but I know it may be wishful thinking x

I was on ACT-H and my hair started regrowing on taxol...much to my shock. My eyelashes though dissappeared 2 weeks after completion altogether then they all reemerged 2 weeks later dark and thick. My first pubic hairs were white. My hair...now 3 months on is steel grey but slowly more colour in. I regrew hair with a poor hairline initially . ..male pattern baldness, but that has now regrown.

@ccasper oh no!!!! lol well Im just glad to hear your closing in on the end of Chemo!!! You know my Oncologist told me last year that he generally found but not always that the older ladies seemed to handle Chemo better. Hmmm Im like I'm 48!!!!!!! so he was surprised how very ill I was through Chemo, we laughed and said I must have young genetics then uuugh!!! Youre doing great! xo

It is a strange thing the peach fuzz LOL, but its the pre-hair phase and seems to stay like that for a little while. Once it takes off is generally once treatment has ceased. You'll get there. xo

Ok @InkPetal I only asked as I lost all my hair to AC before TC. I have a pretty good peach fuzz going on

I did not (I'm sorry, I'd been up all night and think my eyes ran a loop with your sentences so it didn't register).

One thing to add about the regrowth though - despite starting to grow back so soon, it's only been at a rate of about 5mm per month. It's odd all over but the longest of it only just comes to 3cm. Still soft as a fuzzy peach. hehe

Yep! I was on TC.

I lost hair everywhere except my right arm for some reason. :lol:

The hair all over my body started growing back after I'd finished, but during chemo the hair on my scalp (not brows or lashes) started growing back almost as soon as it had fallen out.
