Gold Star checkup

Hi all,

did the big 5 hour drive to Melbourne yesterday to see my Plastic Surgeon.

My wounds are all healed so he as pleased with that, I had a little section that was slow to heal due to surface stitches, so dressings and antibiotic ointment every second day. Glad that's better now ???? Just micro pore tape on all the wounds to flatten the scars as they heal for the next 4 weeks.

Last time I saw the PS he told me that I was overdoing it, as there was a significant seroma behind my new belly button. So no bending, stretching, twisting or lifting for the last 3 weeks.Breathing is allowed apparently ??  So grateful to my lovely hubby who has been helping me with the things I'm banned to do. And wearing that xxxx girdle on my tummy 24 hours a day, very elegant......not. The good news is that the seroma is gone, I still have to wear the xxxx girdle for the next 3 weeks, however don't need to wear it to bed any more. ??????

Another week, and I can return to normal duties again, so that will take the pressure off my lovely hubby. The best news is that I don't need to see the PS again until October, so the persistent pilgrimages to Melbourne have eased off.

Thank you all for your advice and support, you're all awesome !!

Sending you a big cuddle, Trace ????????

    Thanks Kate,

I'm not game to not do as I'm told, I know of another lady in town who took her girdle off too early and ruptured her stitches. Aiming for a good recovery so that I can get back to the gym in a few weeks time.

Advice well and truly taken..... Back to knitting my jumper, knit 1 pearl 1...... LOL

    Cuddles, Trace ????????

    Hey Jen,

do as I'm told, now there's a challenge. LOL That xxxx girdle has been like a bloody circus, with getting up and down, restricted breathing and an easily filled tummy. I could cheerfully pitch the bloody thing, so will be pleased when the next 3 weeks are up. Might have a bonfire one day and give it a good send off ??????

    Thanks Honey xxxxx
