Genetic testing

I haven't been on for a while but have had a few things happening recently. Firstly my mum was diagnosed with triple negative bc last year. She is currently undergoing chemo. As some of you know, I have had 2 separate diagnoses, 7 years apart. After my second diagnosis in 2010, I had genetic testing done......which had an inconclusive (negative) result. When mum was diagnosed, they wanted to retest my sample & have found a gene mutation in my PALB2 gene. I have had a follow-up blood test & im going in to talk to the genetic counsellor on Wednesday next week about the results. I suspect it will be confirmed.

Has anyone else had this gene mutation found? If so, what was recommended for you as far as ongoing surveillance or surgery? I have already had 2 mastectomies with my 2 cancer diagnoses but not sure if anything else is suggested??
