Gated heart pool scan

They didn't have anyone trained in using ports when I had my gated heart pool scan so they had to use regular cannula. 

You need blood removed 1st then returned. My port doesn't always give back blood. Where I go isn't where I have chemo and they are technicians. ..so I wasn't keen on them using my port. However sometimes you coud get a nurse to access the port who has appropriate training....but no guarantees they can get blood so might still need tbst taken elsewhere. I know if scans done at my normal hospital...the chemo nurses have put lines in ready for the scan. I huess you will know more when you go
