Day 34 - seventh fill (well, half a fill)

limit

a point or level beyond which something does not or may not extend or pass.

My 6th fill left me with a lot of pain and I wasn't looking forward to today's fill.... So I had pretty much made up my mind.... Everything has a limit and I have reached mine....

So off to the plastic surgeon I went today and after a quick consult he was agreeable....

I wouldn't have any put in my right side at all, but use this opportunity to catch up on my left side....

He is more than happy with my progress and says I've done extremely well at each fill, so he injected 50mls into my left side and was happy to give me time to settle before I see him again in Monday for my last fill.... If I'm feeling up to it he'll add a bit more... But not too much more...

So now my new boobs are equal in volume - 630mls each.

I floated away feeling relieved that I didn't have to squeeze any more into my right side this week... Floated as I am full of pain killers! I learned from last time not to stop them to early.... And I probably won't stop until the end of next week...

I also got a call from radiation planning this afternoon about my appointment on 30/8..... All booked and ready to go!

So I will have a weeks break before planning scan and then two weeks break until radiation begins......finally some time to get myself together .... I will be stronger and restored and ready for the last phase of treatment....

So why do I feel like a bit of a quitter? But is it really quitting? When I look back at the last 8 months I realise I'm far from being a quitter! ... And I DID make it to the end of expansion, just wasn't according to plan in these last weeks...

Right now though I'm not firing on all cylinders, so it's more rest for me ...

  • Oooh you're on the downhill run!! Yayyyyyyyyy!! I don't know how you can even begin to feel like a quitter when you have fronted up and endured your fills and so what if the amounts weren't exactly what had been planned - you have still gone through so much. You should feel very proud of yourself, you've almost finished another phase of treatment - Good on you!!! Xx Cath
