DITTO DITTO DITTO... gee you and I think alike. I created a public album on my facebook page once I'd told the close family and closest of friends. I couldnt handle the anxiety each time I steeled myself to tell friends and I'm a big believer in the power of facebook when used positively. My horse club have long been supporters of breast cancer awareness and girls night in, and I thought to myself, well, if I have to go through this then I'm going to use it as a learning/teaching experience for others. At our club sign on day and leading up to my surgery last Thursday, I have had probably about 30 women of all ages with their hand in my bra feeling my cancerous lump. I wanted them to know how easily I nearly dismissed it and how insignificant it felt.
My scars are starting to heal, the bruising is very pretty in colour and my hair is getting greyer by the day. I've decided not to colour it due to all the chemicals I've had already and the ones to come.
You are an inspiration. Keep the truth and that smile up front :)
