My very best wishes for a speedy recovery from your DIEP flap procedure. You will love your new body. I had my op early in December and by now I can really admire my natural looking and feeling and matched breasts. My surgeon will do some cosmetic touch ups when I feel up to it. The strange thing is the feeling of a "girdle" where the tummy tissue was removed. Feeling good about my body,will compensates for the trauma of being diagnosed with breast cancer. As I gain strength after a long procedure under anaesthetic I am not pushing myself too hard now that I have learnt that my energy is limited.
