Final Chemo

I too was emotional on my last day of chemo and my last day of Rads..... it is good to acknowledge this it is part of our grieving process as we come through the roller coaster ride called Breast Cancer.... My psychologist said it is like we hold our breath and when we get to the final one it is like we let it go again allowing the emotions to slip out again... Give yourself time to rest and heal.... it is like preparing for a marathon only the race is not a medal at the end but our life.  
Hugs and energy as you have finished one and prepare for the next phase.

@fairydust that's exactly how I felt on Wednesday. I was so happy to be at my final treatment but when I arrived at the hospital I actually burst into tears in my car. I have a little hair now and can't wait for more to come back and for my health to continue to improve. Mel xx

Hi Melsie congratulations on getting to the end of Chemo. When I finished I actually felt flat . I recently finished radiotherapy and on my last day burst into tears. Of course I was happy everything was over but I felt a bit lost. I do not miss the staff or treatment just coming to terms with what I have been through. I now have hair again and good health who could ask for more.
