FFS - Hopefully not round 2
Hey my lovely ladies - as much as I love u all I had hoped not to be posting here again but apparently not to be.
Went for my routine mammogram 2 years on from initial end of active treatment and ended up speaking to my surgeon yesterday about results.
Apparently there is some calcification in the remaining breast and after some Dr googling this could be nothing or indicative of DCIS - I had a lot of this In the right breast and I believe that because of the way it looks it could be suspicious but there can also be a large percentage that can be benign and quite normal post menopause.
Mammogram guided core biopsy today and 3 days for results - yippee - trying to stay positive and just take it one step at a time and trying to tell myself if I have to I can do it all again I can.
Keep all your fingers and toes crossed for me lovelies. I’ll post a pic of what I think is the spot they are worried about.
Hope u r all trundling along ok.

- TinksMemberI guess a small positive is that they can carry on now and not have you waiting even longer than necessary due to covid? Thank goodness for that small window! But it’s all relative and I feel for you, it’s tough. Sending you hugs, nearly there now. Hang in there. Tinks xx
- iserbrownMemberBest wishes for the surgery! Hopefully that will result with good news.
Take care - AfraserMemberThis is tough, but good to have the action now and try and get rid of the uncertainty - there’s enough of that in the world! Best wishes for Tuesday.
- Kiwi_AngelMemberHey all loveliesSaw the surgeon today as I was actually in her building to deliver to another specialist so got the results.Shows calcification (which is good cause they got the right area), no signs of malignancy but does show a mucounis area which again, could be something or could be nothing. With the world falling apart around us there is a small window before midnight on Wednesday to get “semi urgent” surgeries done so on Tuesday I’m having a rather unpleasant hookwire put in before having a biopsy under GA to remove the area. She said she would normally do it within the next couple of months (which heartens me with lack of panic, I think she more saw my panic) but who knows what is happening with the health system in 2 months.Understandably very anxious and stressed but if it wasn’t for my history this would of never of been picked up as it can’t be felt.Just wanted to let u all know. As u can imagine it’s a terrible sense of déjà vu and I’m worried I will be on this roller coaster again when everyone thought I was done, dusted and cured.Trying to be as positive as I can but it can be tough sometimes.Love to u all. Keep those u love close 💕💕💕❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘
