It is amazing how many times in the last 3 and a bit years that I have felt very, very lucky. Lucky that we had moved closer to 'civilization' and medical facilities a few months before I was diagnosed.
Lucky that my girls were old enough to help out and look after themselves when I was diagnosed (just a few months before I was spending 2 hours plus a day ferrying them to school, work etc).
Lucky that I found my cancer when I did before it progressed any further.
Lucky that I met such wonderful people (like Sharon) who helped me to push myself to live as well as I could.
And now lucky that the Bone Clinic is opening a training facility just a 30 minute drive away!
It would be really wonderful if this type of facility was available in more locations. Hopefully their success will mean that others will follow. Hopefully in Cairns for you, Paula. ?? xxx
