@Afraser if I had made it to the five year mark, I no doubt would also have been told to stay on it for another five years. I have a friend who was diagnosed at the same time as me who didn't require chemo, and completed five years with a combination of AIs and tamoxifen, she is done, and was not suggested she goes any further on with endocrine treatment for her bc. Guidelines change, all we can do is see how our body goes on the recommended treatment. The tumor I required the AI for was not the one I required the chemotherapy for. It can get a bit complicated for some of us. I had the chemo for the other tumor that was HER2 positive. It can be as clear as mud. You have done well, and wishing you continued wellness with all the suggested treatment. Let's hope as research continues we can eradicated cancer for all. My grandmother passed from breast cancer at age 57 the year I was born. She would have had a better chance with all the advancements in treatments we are seeing now. We still have a long way to go, no doubt.
