Fatigue and radiation

I have 5 more sessions of radiation to go (done 15 already) and just this weekend am feeling a fatigue/tiredness that I haven't felt before.  It is not like being tired - and I know tired (cos as women aren't we tired most of the time anyway?).  It is a tiredness that makes my mind fuzzy - like a drug.  What are other's experience of radiation fatigue, if any?

  • Thanks Hazel.... you nailed it!   It isn't a "normal" tiredness... as I certainly know what that is like as a solo mum.   Yes, this is like a fuzzy drugged thing... Like I will be in the kitchen feel a haze take over the mind..... Sometimes I think I am imaging it but after my diagnoses I know to trust what my body is telling me...

    Thanks for your comment

  • I finished 30 sessions of radiation on the 12/5 and I know what you mean. It's not like tired where you want to lie down and sleep, it's another sort of tired. My brain was not functioning real well, I was doing silly things and couldn't figure out why. Like cooking for example, I was looking at the recipe and still measuring things wrong, like I was drugged up. I'm getting a bit clearer now, thank goodness:) All the best for your last 5, take care,
