Eyebrow tattoos
As my rapidly falling eyebrows become less and less I am wondering if anyone has had cosmetic eyebrow tattoos done? I am thinking about it...but need to decide whilst some hair is still there.

I ended up getting them done and okay ed by the oncologist. They look great and I am pleased. Do look a little odd with no hat and no eyeliner on though.. as only eyebrow is visible on my head, lol. But once all together it looks great. I'm halfway through chemo and virtually nothing there but enough she was able to follow my line. ..sparse as it was. Colour matched it so well the real brow isn't currently visible. I'll try posting a pic. Kath
I had my eyebrows microbladed 2 days ago, Oncologist said it was fine and they have healed quickly with no dramas....they look great :)
Definately don't get tattooed while having chemo! Blood borne bacteria is something your body won't be able to good with!
I have many tattoos and had to cancel my appointment for my next one when I found out I had cancer and needed chemo....
There are many eyebrow kits in the market and they come with stencils to help guide the shape ...
Thanks Nadine. .that's helpful
I lost my eyebrows after my fourth chemo treatment on 22 February. I had a few hairs back by 6 April (my son's uni graduation) enough to get them tinted for the occasion. By 18 April they had completely grown back. So no need for a tattoo. I am surprised at how quick they grew back.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Hi I had my eyebrows done. I had them done after I had finished my treatment. I also had my nipple done.. During treatment I used a eyebrow pencil. Not sure if you should do while in active treatment.
I was lucky in that my eyebrows were the very last hair to go when I had my chemo. They lasted almost all the way through and I only ended up loosing most of them by the last chemo. My lashes fell out way earlier though. They have since all grown back.
I would check with your Oncologist before getting a tattoo whilst having Chemo... Remember your susceptible to infection.
Try this product its amazing, my beautician told me about it

Its Fibers that fill in your eyebrows. You get 3 stencils and you then place over your eye and then apply the fibers. Its amazing how it fills them in.
Mine thinned a lot too and by using this, you would have thought I had not lost anything.
You can get a color to match your natural brows and washed off with water just like taking your toher makeup off at the end of the day
Its an Australian company, they also do a Eyelash Fiber one too, I brought this as well, definitely helping with my lashes which I did not lose till 4 weeks after my Taxol chemo finished.
If your brows are naturally thin then this is a product that's used regardless of chemo induced loss.
I too was looking at eyebrow tattoos, but I think this product is way simpler to use and you don't need to use glues which may be sensitive to your skin

Angie
