I've been taking it for two years now after finding the side effects of Letrazole and Aromasin intolerable. I haven't grown a beard or broken out in spots. It's no walk in the park, though regularly walking anywhere makes a terrific difference to the aches and pains.
Regarding the steroid component, I have put on weight but I've also had my ovaries out and we know that crashing into menopause aint usually great for the figure. I have been this heavy before, but my shape now is rather different from what it's been in the past. Previously it was all in my legs and my arse which was balanced by a flat stomach, now I have a substantial spare tyre which i loathe with a passion but can't seem to shift.
On the upside, I've resumed weight training which always used to make me muscle up anyway. Now I have the mother of all muffin tops, but I've got arms like a shearer. I find that oddly comforting given I've spent the last three years feeling feeble and depleted. Maybe it's the steroid additive (which is negligible anyway) or maybe it's genetics and I'd have been in the same condition anyway.
I had a recurrence too and am desperate to avoid another so I'll keep swallowing the wretched pill. It seems like the lesser of two evils. Or many evils. Mxx
