Drs have conflicting views..
Hi all, really appreciate any advice on this one, have no idea which way to go. Had hormone receptive tumour, small 1.1cm, did surgery, radiation... then medical oncologist said need no more treatment...
Oh dear @Chevvy .... all that surgical history and blood tests should have been used too establish the best meds for your personal case - dependent on the hormone status of your tumours! And the body CAN still make estrogen too, even if you don’t have ovaries ....
Do NOT be afraid of changing Oncs .... a few of us have!
My original Onc was a useless prat, too ... so I swapped to a much better, understanding female Onc who is ‘On my side’. The male ‘ex Onc’ had me thinking I was wasting his time .... saying ‘what are you here for?’ I would have thought that was fucking obvious - if he’d read my notes!
Where abouts do you live? (Town/city/state) Pop it in your ‘profile’ ... people may have suggestions for support etc in your area!
