Hi, I was a tnbc. My oncologist wouldn't hear of gene testing suggesting as I was 65 there was no need to have it done. Also because there was no history of BC in my family. I had a lumpectomy in my right breast, with a second operation required to gain clear margins, no lymph nodes involved. My husband and I had decided before seeing the surgeon we would ask for a mastectomy but my surgeon was very much against it. And I guess we trusted him. So much is thrown at you when you are diagnosed it's impossible to think clearly. Keep us posted with your outcome and take care.
