Docetaxel

I am half way through Chemo the first 3 being very kind to my body had my first Docetaxel last Wednesday and ache all over, feel like I have the flu very bad sore throat and bruising.  Anyone have any idea's for the sore throat as this is the worst and no matter what I try it isnt working.  I am not looking forward to the next two treatments if this is what I am having to go through.  Any idea on how to make this easier is appreciated.

  • Hi Fiona,

I  am having my first Docetaxel this morning and the nurse said that warm salty water is the best thing to rinse your mouth and throat with about 4 times a day, but it sounds like that won't make a difference if it is that bad, when she comes back I will ask for you.  You will find all the lovely ladies here will come up with suggestions this network is amazing.

Take care, lots of cuddles for you.
