Hi Helen - Anticipation is really tough! Do take someone with you so they can help you ask questions and remember the information given to you by the surgeon. Taking deep breaths helped me as I listened and tried to focus on my questions. I had a list of questions and my surgeon was very patient as I went through them. Hopefully your surgeon is also patient. Like you, I similarly had a 'black boob' from the core biopsy and it didn't prevent any further surgery - it's only blood from the bruising. They may decide to drain it first.
