Losing your hair is the signal to the world that you are a cancer patient...I wrote about it in my Facebook blog....Your cancer is a kind of secret from the outside world ....until you lose your hair....
As upsetting as it is, you do kinda get used to it! I remember sitting having my cup of tea one morning and I put my hand to my hairs edge and down fell my fringe...into my cup of tea! I just sat there staring, thinking really WTF? Then I laughed/cried.....That's when I visitited my hairdresser and got my soldier girl hairstyle....it still fell but not as daunting as when it's long..
I am now totally hair free...YES TOTALLY....eyelashes, eyebrows...EVERYTHING! I do look a bit alien, but I'm embracing it......Think of all the savings you have from no shampoo, razors or waxing!
I bought some groovy hats and some lovely scarves to dress up with when going out...otherwise it's the freshly plucked chook look at home...
I do miss my middle of my back length hair....but I know it's only temporary and am excited to see how it grows back....
Wishing you all the best for your treatments.....<3
