Day 9 First Cycle

I have had my emotional ups and downs and the fatigue has had me spending most of my days on the lounge.  However, today I am feeling stronger and my sister will probably ring this afternoon to ask me if she could pop in to see me.

This would be lovely but would mean extra work in getting the house clean.  I am wondering if it is safe at this stage to go out for coffee.  I know from day 10 to 14 is the most critical time to stay away from crowds.

Any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated.

Love

Joy xx

  • Great to hear you are starting to feel better. As you know I am a day ahead of you with chemo and yesterday (day 9) was my best so far, I felt great. My oncologist told me there is no need to live in a cocoon even in the day 10 - 14 danger zone. He said just be sensible, if you want to go to the movies, choose a quiet session etc. So I am planning to keep on going out, but just avoid crowds and people sneezing and coughing. So I would think it safe to go out for coffee, then ask your sister to clean your house for you afterwards! Hugs Viv xxxx
