confused!

I have now joined a face book group for girls with advanced breast cancer and it is so much easier to use. And pretty much instant chatting possible. If on fb I would recommend this forum. xx

Hi ladies, I totally agree with the confusion and frustration of this site and YES  Kcash while this site is invauable it really is enough to turn people way from the site. I am sure people have been turned off the site as I was for a couple of year simply because I found it so counter intuitive.  The www.inspire.com site is a GREAT example of an easy to use forum.

Yes, I know what you mean. Getting a notification that you've posted yourself is over-doing things a little :)   Unfortunately the notifications system is quite complex, so any work on it takes quite a bit of time and effort. So we want to be sure that when it gets done we're doing exactly what we need to.

In the meanwhile, keep asking if you get stuck and we can help you navigate the way it works now.  And if you have a sudden moment of "oh, that makes everything easier", feel free to share with everyone else! :)

Thanks Di for the reply. I will keep working on it! I am able to find some but not others! I also find it interesting that I get an email notification to myself when I post a comment!

Hi Julie -- the notification or message will be in your inbox. The delivery system can be a bit confusing (we're working with our developers to see how we can improve it), but for now, the way it works is that any personal message, or notifications of new posts/comments, will come to your inbox as a message.

To get to your inbox you need to be logged in, then look at the right side of the page and you'll see a link in your pink profile box (under the heading 'messages').  If you click on that you'll go to your inbox and see any new messages there.  If it's a message from someone, when you click the link you'll be able to read it, if it's a notification about a comment or post, you'll see another link you can click to get to the post.
