Confused re Zometa-Purpose
Is Zometa used to increase/or treat poor bone density? Is it also used to treat Bone metastasis, with different dosing/frequency? I've started 6 monthly infusions, for bone density.

@Abbydog I have completed 6 infusions of Zometa over 3 years to improve my bone density. I lost 5% when I started taking Letrozole 6 years ago. I was just above the threshold from being osteoporotic. My bone density has now improved so I will stay on Letrozole for another 4 years. My oncologist has suggested a maintenance dose of Zometa maybe once a year.
