Cold capping
For hospitals that dont offer the cold capping, has anyone done the ones where you chill and wear one on the way, during treatment, and on way home. Ive googled and there are about $300 for 5 caps ...
Yes kitkat5. I did the cold capping with caps that i bought online. For me it was completely successful, I kept all my hair, but it was quite a lot of work getting the caps ready. (I froze them). They felt very cold for about 5 minutes until I got used to the cold and after that it didn't bother me at all. Happy to answer any questions.
Rhonnie are we allowed to discuss brands on the chat? Or can you message me as I would like a recommendation as ive just seen the one on line so far.
Hi kitkat5 & Rhonnie you can name brands if you are doing so while describing your factual experience using their product/service. You can of course move chats to private messages if you prefer :)
I purchased mine from https://www.arcticheat.com.au I also rang them for advice on using the caps and found them to be very helpful. I am not sure if they recommend just cooling them or freezing them, but i froze them and it worked well for me.
This was the company I purchased from. They were so helpful when I rang with questions. Im going to have doxorubican as my first lot of treatment. Did you have this one as well?
