Hello, congratulations on clear margins & lymph nodes, that is such good news. I was offered the same options as you & chose the FEC+ 3 Taxal because of the slightly increased odds. Figure if I'm going to fight this bc then I might as well go all the way and give myself the best chance. I had an echo before and after chemo as I have a family history of heart trouble. Finished chemo November and no signs heart failure so far.
Pro's & con's: Taxal type chemos cause joint, bone & muscle pain, also fluid retention. Can deal with that using strong pain killers, but would be nice to only have 3 doses instead of 4. FEC is the worst for nausea and low blood pressure. Not sure if TC would cause that?
You know your own body best and what you can cope with, whatever decision you make will be the right one for you. Just messes with your mind to have to make that decision. Hope you find peace of mind as you start down this road, Tracey??
