I'm hoping someone has some advice, I can't find any ideas to help with the sunburnt feeling the skin on my face is experiencing. I expected this with radio but not chemo!
Creams don't seem to help, I've tried a natural/herbal cream, rosehip oil & Hope's Relief but nothing other than an icecold face washer is doing the trick.
Any other ideas??

Yes the nurses said get an antihistamine which I did. Today I haven't had the awful hot pain I've had the last 2 nights, so not sure if it's that or that the irritation has slowed down now.
Apparently we will get the same symptoms on the same days at each treatment cycle, so I'll be prepared in cycle #2!

Yes, I was getting burnt in the car today but I used a long scarf to cover every part of me. Gloves! - I didn't think of that, my hands seem fine and I'm applying dark nail polish constantly as recommended!
Dark blue, black and dark thick turquoise - I'm liking these colours and with my butch hair cut funky colours work well.

I found a good way to help was, every time you go to the loo have a glass of ice cold water

Haha Tha'ts not stupid! It's hard to remember to drink 2L every day, I mean, you have a glass and think to yourself '2L today', and then it's suddenly 9PM before it's remembered again.
I forget all the time, it's going to be a challenge for me too. I'll have to remember to set an alert on my phone for midday so I can make it up if I forget. Maybe you can try that too. xo
Could be something with my feed, too.

Chemist warehouse cotton gloves Tara. I wear them and long sleeves and hat and shoes for the sun. I have an old pair for dog walking and a new pair for outings. Watch the sun in the car, sometimes you forget the angle will hit your hands and you need those nails protected during chemo.
Brenda - I never thought of that!!! My father died of melanoma and I'm red-head who spent lots of time in the sun as a kid - even though I was drenched in sunscreen I still got burnt a lot!
It's always been a concern of mine and although anecdotal, I will enjoy thinking that taking this rotten stuff is helping to prevent melanoma's in the future??!! - got to find positives don't we!
The water factor - well to be honest I haven't been rigidly following the 2+ltrs/day, just forgetting - how STUPID!
I've just got a new filter so I'll make sure I have my bottles full and finished by the end of the day.
It's school pick up time and absolutely can NOT go out in the sun right now so am very grateful we live 3 doors from school !

You will easily drink 2 ltrs and more a day to flush out your system. My chemo nurse said the chemo takes 5 to 7 days to be expelled and the best way is through your water leaving the other end. It will also stop a lot of bad headaches and dehydration while your body is fighting things.
