Chemo finished - YAY

I have finally finished my 6 rounds of chemo.... 3 rounds of FEC and 3 rounds of Taxotere.  Just started my rads on Thursday, only 2 weeks after my last chemo infusion and still getting lots of aches and pains in my chest and back area.  Does this sound normal????  Any information will be great, thanks!  And I think I am suffering from indigestion... not sure, never suffered with indigestion before.... just feeling a bit off... anyone else experience this too??.... thinking it is not from the radiation though....

    Hi,

    Congratulations on finishing your Chemo, it is such a relief isnt it? I also suffered with continuing pain, numbness, and heartburn for about 3-4 weeks after chemo. My oncologist called it "lag". I took Nexium and it worked quite well. I also have a very sensitive stomach now and cant tolerate some foods. I guess it all takes time to heal. Be careful with radiation, lather on the cream. My skin did really well until the last week and the week following treatment was worse. Unfortunately I have to work and it was very painful, I even had burns on the back of my affected shoulder! Sleep whenever you can, the whole experience is exhausting...look after yourself. Take care and hope you feel well

    Well done you have made it. I have one more of Tax to go.

    Indigestion yes yes i hear you - i started on some mylanta didnt do a thing - Dr suggested Zantac one a day - seems to have helped.

    All the best with radiation :-)
