> got in the shower with my sox still on.

> Ive locked my keys in the car down the street 3 times so far

>left my purse with over $1000.00 in the  local newsagents whilst browsing mags, luckily a lady handed it over!!!! I almost dropped dead on the spot when i walked a block to pay rent and i had no purse in my bag!!!!

> put the cornflakes box in the fridge, didnt realise til lunch time.

> had to buy a toaster yesterday due to me leaving the griller on twice, closed door, and had a shower! with my sox on :(

> tipped a whole bag of suger in the suger bowl to refill, instead of the container.

> tried to unlock a car door, wasnt mine, same color, similar model. Lady in next car looking at me strangely.

  • You are a lucky girl <he he> you get to read a whole paragrap, I get stuck reading the same line over and over and over and oevr, then give up.

As to puzzles I do the ones in the Take 5 and That's life magazines and pots the entries in (sure I need a LOT of help (even with the kids puzzles)) but when I am finished I REALLY feel like I have accomplished somethign and winning the odd prize feels even better (won a kids DVD yesterday - COOL another Christmas present off the list <LOL>).

I don't have the problem with groceries, ONLY becasue my hubby comes with me, because he won't let me drive (weak muscles and fatigue and chemo brain etc).

  • I now have 2 bags of spuds! And more broccoli. SOUP! lol... If this is what its like when we eventually get 'ol timers disease', then we'll have plenty of practice! Names, Im forgetting names, and words when i want to sound intelligent! lol, especially if im telling my son off for something, makes me feel ridiculous! Teenagers! he just laughs and says, "mum, slow down, what are you trying to say??" so i swear at him and tell him to bugger off and behave! :)

I am however, finding I'm alot calmer... more accepting, as if nothings a stress, sort of like..."don't sweat the small stuff". Lifes WAY too unpredictable and short to be stressing about mundane stuff! I'm finding more and more people diagnosed with cancers lately, thats ALL i see! Its awful! And at young ages!  I have two friends in my cancer group who have only months left now, bad results last week. They don't even look sick, nor do they act it! He's still riding horses, She's still swanning around, but both have decided the fights over, been a few years for them ( their not related), I admire their strength and tenacity.  David was in a chair with me at chemo tuesday, he knew my results were good, my bloods have moved into the positive side, his... not so. I don't think he'll finish his treatment.  I felt crap, and found it hard to be happy for myself.

  • OH YEAH! I can relate to this...

    • Walk down to the other end of the house to get something, forget what it is,  before i get there, stand in the doorway saying... What did I come down here for? after 5 min's can't remember what it was so go back to where I was & what I was doing, remember again... and repeat 6 times before walking down the hall (not a long walk, maybe 10 meters?) repeating what it is ut loud over and over (something like - pillow... pillow... pillow...pillow) <grrr>.
    • Talk to people in person or on the phone & lose word, go to say somthing & have NO IDEA what the word is. Saying something like.. you know that thing.. the brown thing.. that is square... you know??? <LO>L or better yet thanking someone on the phone for going above & beyond the call of duty & not remembering the word appreciaye & having to say other words (all wrong) instead.
