Chemo and colds

@fairydust thank you. Yup, the fatigue is like nothing else. I can't describe it to my family. I think unless you've experienced it you'll never know. I have rads next, so that'll keep me busy for a while

@Molly001 I had a mild cold and they made sure I was not near other patients. The only thing that will stop chemo is if  your white blood cells are low. I had to postpone one session because of that but not related to a cold. 
The chemo nurse on day one warned me that fatigue and side effects would esculate towards the end and they did.
Congratulations on almost being over as far as chemo is concerned. 
Weird when I finished felt quite odd. Happy but what next? 

Yes @Annedipa I just want it over with too. I was anticipating a tough cycle anyhow. I coped pretty well with 2-4 but last cycle the fatigue really hit me.

When i had a cold my oncologist gave me the option to delay chemo until i felt better. I chose to have it anyway because i just wanted it over and done with. Just remember you will have cold symptoms plus chemo side effects. Big hugs

Thanks @Zoffiel. Definitely something to celebrate once I drag myself out of 'the hole' after this cycle!!

They will only stop you if they absolutely have to. Lets hope it doesn't come to that. Isn't it weird, who would have thought that anyone would be stressing about NOT being poisoned. Good luck, it will be sooo good to have all this behind you. Marg

Molly, I agree with the others, whats more important is your bloods, if theyre ok its business as usual especially if there's no fever. xx

I started chemo with a temperature! But it wasn't very high and I was happy to proceed. A seroma resulted in me having a  few minor infections (before the big one!) but it didn't interfere with my chemo sessions. Should be OK.
