It is that simple. Your relationship with your oncologist is no more set in stone than your relationship with your supermarket or tyre retailer. See your GP and get another referral--your new team can retrieve your records from the old ones.
You will have to check that your new oncologist has admitting rights at the hospital you want to go to for treatment (assuming you are having chemo) If they don't, they can organise it--there is a bit of mucking around but it doable. They will do most things to secure your business. I've sacked firm for mournful service. Get rid of them, you've got enough to manage without dealing with any professional who give you the irrits.
