Changes
Has anyone else realised that they have changed so much because of treatment , and pain and what led up to the discovery of the diabnosis, but no matter how you explain it to family members no one else gets it and the world remains unchanged around and not for the better. That people want you be dragged back into their complcations that no allowances have been made, that you find yourself back drawning in the same river flowing the same cours and don't want to be their and don't know how to get out unless it fully jump out and leave everything behind, except the one true love that kept your head afloat. Is anyone else experiencing the distate for peoples winging about tiny matters that are so insignificant and winging to you and you just wnat to yell at them shut up. The other day after hearing rubbish winge from my father for a month and after having again two more bouts in hospital which I hated, I told him in all reality you are not in world war 2 in a prison camp getting your nails pulled out by a Nazi , Or is it just me that looks at things a different light and not prepared to go so extreme for people again in helping them when the help was not their during this treatment. I am seeing a oncologist psycholgist who is the firs psych after many years of attempt with others because of my PTSD and Depression that I have made progress with, but inevitable the light gets turned on and shines on things you were avoiding looking at which got me to this spot. They say its just chance you get cancer but I am bot convinced. I have know people who have smoked and drunk for 50 yrs and still never got it , so their has to some other aspect..I don;t want to live with the same turmoiled stress that I did which led me to this point.I don't know how to get off the train tracks. Does anyone else feel this way?xxx Love to you all Peta

I totally get what you are saying.
Whilst i was having treatment i was working around my chemo and can clearly recall a colleague having a bitch to me about how disappointed she was because she wasnt offered a redundancy package and how unfair it was and how it sucked snd blah blah blah. Obviously what was important to her meant completely jack to me...if only my life was that easy!
I find i have very low tolerance for crap from people as well. Life is too short and i dont waste it on toxic people or relationships either.
Take care of you??

Hugs to you Tracy Peta
I am glad I am not feeling it alone. You just feel like smacking people and telling them to get a life. Its a buggar you have to quit the job, I quit my job on a whim and I I had not I would not have had the time to go to the doctor and to have found out I was carrying BC. So do what you stomach says . or as I refer to it as your Guardian angel whispering in your ear . Hugs Peta
Yes that is exactly How I expressed to my husband, my dad who is the most stubbornest man on the face of the earth and whom is nursing my alzheimas mum complained that she, and knowing she cannot talk anymore, wanted to hold his hand in bed all night and he referred to that as "SUCH A BAD NIGHT"... I lost it and said he is lucky she still know him and it is her only way of expressing herself.. He winges all the time but want get respit from nursing her and it is making me furious. My only support is my husband and funnily enough he can't stand the pettiness either. I do look at people differently. If they are no one to me and they are petty I just go off into a trance and let them winge if Iknow them I have a short fuse.and tell them I will sop places with them My mother inlaw accused my husband of stealing her walker and said she was going to report him to the cops, just in order to get his attention, it had the reverse affect. Hugs to you Love Peta

Hi PETA,
Ive had breast cancer twice in 9 years now . I don't have any patience for others little petty ways. I'm afraid I've turned into a cranky old woman . I just not interested and frankly don't care. At Coles check out a lady whinged about them not having her brand of washing powder in stock - on and on she did. The poor check out boy was so apologetic and trying to be nice but she wouldn't have it. Wasn't his fault , he only works there. So I told her to shut up, stop yelling at the poor boy and move on. I said how petty her complaint was in the grand scheme of life, just be grateful you don't have cancer or a life threatening illness , then you can complain about that. Everyone in line clapped and she walked off giving us all the finger. What a miserable woman! Enjoy your self, ignore the miserable people . xxx Bep

Hi Peta
I totally get what you are describing as I am going through similar feelings and responses. I have just gone back to work and it is stressful and I no longer want that anymore! I have also just spent a week at swimming championships where I had to deal with petty jealousies of other swim parents and nasty judgmental comments . I am so over other people's bs that I can barely tolerate and be polite. I think having emerged from a year of treatment and facing ones own mortality changes you. It is a life altering situation. I am giving notice at my job and looking for something else. I can no longer tolerate toxic people or those that make me feel bad and I don't apologise for that. Stay strong and don't put up with other people's crap. You deserve to feel the best you can after breast cancer and all you have gone through.
