Thanks Lyn,
Yes I am expecting my breast to look a little odd second time around...It's still swollen from the first op and I haven't quite healed, also the neuralgia is horrid! I guess I'm not really concerned how my boobs look right now..(that may change once it happens of course). I'll be having a mastectomy and reconstruction after chemo anyways. Why not now? I asked the same thing....my cancer is quite aggressive, so i guess they'll take more tissue and see those margins, then i suppose if they still aren't happy things may change again....so chemo will start straight after the re excision. It's all so confusing..
I've chosen to look at it this way, I have big boobs, always have, no matter how thin or big i was, there they were! Kinda my trademark LOL! I'm currently 14HH! So the tissue removal has minimal impact compared to others I suppose (although I can tell). So not only will the cancer be gone, by this time next year I'll have new hair AND new boobs! And a few sizes smaller! Well i tell my friends and family that anyways. It is very daunting though, and I'll deal with it as i go. Yes one day at a time.....hopefully there won;t be too many changes in direction along the way!
