@arpie & @Romla thank you for the links. I heard both the nurse & doctor mentioned in the article speak at a Medical Cannabis seminar in Nimbin earlier this year. Many of the attendees were older folk & people with all sorts of ailments hoping to find help. I know many older folk who use Cannabis for pain management and/or to help with sleep. But I do live in the northern rivers region and cannabis seems to be the go to medicine (or recreation) for a lot of people around here.
Wouldn’t it be fabulous if a side effect of the cbd I’m taking for pain management eradicated the metastatic disease in my bones. That is a side effect I welcome with open arms! I shall be following this line of research with keen interest.
I will finally receive my legal medical cannabis this week. My appointment with the https://www.cannvaclinics.com/ doctor was on 28 January, so it has taken a long time. I think their system failed somewhere along the line because when I recently chased up my prescription, the person I spoke with assumed I was after my second script.
The medical cannabis script may actually be cheaper than the black market oil I have been using to date. Reports from other patients indicated that the legal oil would be a lot more expensive. I’ll post a cost comparison once I actually get it.
