Cancer free!!!!

yesterday my lovely surgeon gave me some good news. Some of it shocking, but good none the less.

i had a 9cm tumour!! Not 5 as I was originally told. The chemo I had, TAC, blew it to bits so my surgeon was able to get it all out with clear margins. Obviously a tumour that size was not going to come out in one go! There would be nothing left of me.........80% of my lymph nodes were removed. I now have to have radiation in January and although I know it's not going to be a lovely experience, I know I can get through it. After all the chemo I had, nothing can be as bad as that!

for all you lovely ladies who have just started your treatment, take comfort in the fact that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Take one day at a time and take on board all that your surgeon and oncologist tell you. I had every faith in them.

Of course I couldn't have got through all that without my lovely husband who has been my rock and stood by me through every step. Friends and family who have helped out wherever they could, cleaning, ironing and making meals.

so for me I can relax for a little while, enjoy Christmas and think about the radiation later. Step one and step two have been accomplished.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

Linda xx

  • That's fantastic news Linda. Compared to chemo, radiotherapy is a walk in the park (at least I thought so). Relax and have a wonderful Christmas with the special people in your life. Karen xox
