Busy week!

Hello ladies! Just putting my latest stuff on the blog:) On Monday I had to go into hospital and have a hysteroscopy and D&C.I won't get the results for a week or so,but the doctor said it all looked good,so I'm pretty sure my spotting was because of Tamoxifen. This morning I had my long awaited appointment with the doctor at the osteoporosis clinc at RPA in Sydney. It was very informative, and it's times like these that I am glad to be living in inner west Sydney!(only times like these!) Because of my poor bone density,I am starting on Denosumab injections. They are 6 monthly,so that sounds ok.I have to get a full dental checkup before I start,so I have booked that in for next week. The doctor highlighted the importance of eating enough calcium ,and gave me lots of reading material. He said brisk walking is very good,so I must make sure to keep I t up,even through the cold winter days!So I have had a busy week, but a good one I think.I have my surgeons checkup,in 2 weeks, and my first mammogram and ultrasound since diagnosis.I hope that you are all travelling as well as you can.Cheers xox Robyn. Oh and by the way,I have my first haircut(trim) booked in for next Tuesday!
  • Mine is 2 shades of grey too Hazel! Its all fuzzy on top, kind of like those guinea pigs with curly hair! xoxRobyn
  • Hi Robyn....

Good luck with your results....and will be thinking of you going into your first mammo etc after your op etc....are you anxious about it? I know I will be!!

Wow! First trim hey? I feel like I need a bit of a tidy up soon too....esp around the ears.....just feel a bit attached to my hair now being the first growth! Reminds me of taking my toddlers for their first haircuts! I wanted to sweep up their baby hairs and take them home with me!

Cyber hug to you gorgeous Robyn.....Jen xx

  • Thanks Tonya it's never ending isn't it? I am actually quite worried about going on to Denosumab injections.I am going to my dentist on Friday, and going to have a good talk with him about it,I know that everything has risks, but I just want to know the facts a bit more. Cheers xoxRobyn
  • Thanks Jen:) It's the osteo stuff that has me the most worried, because of the medication.Anyway,I am sure I will be fine. Its like everything else, once you get started,it's OK.I have been so busy this week, but post is on the way! :) Take care Jen.xoxRobyn
