Burns

Hi everyone 
i know I've posted here before on my radiation burns but am still so sore last weds was my last treatment and my underarm and scar are red raw with burns and under my breast is the same how long does it take to heal?? I'm back at work tomorrow I had last week of treatment off 
I'm using solugel and moist gauze with pads stuffed in my bra everywhere!

    hi Pammy. I just finished radiation also. My burns are slight compared to yours. The Radiologist warned me that the 2 weeks after treatment end are difficult as the radiation effects build up. I have found this to be so. I have increased burns on my kneck and also under my breast I have difficulty swallowing food at time due to radiation. So possibly in your case another week and maybe back to normal but who knows for sure..Whats normal?

    Hey Pammy!!! OUCH!!! I had exactly the same as you in 2011 and I worked the whole way through but my Radiologist said I had to have 2 weeks off at the end, thank God I did!!! I needed it the burns were like yours and fatigue horrendous! Solugel is the best to use absolutely! and I wouldnt be going back to work if its still that bad honestly, I think mine turned around in about a week once it starts to heal it really heals quickly. I also didnt wear any bra just smothered solugel and a loose top no gauze, so it could breathe. Hope it starts to kick in! but if you can delay work for a little bit more, health is important.
