Re Jean's pain @Mikey  - have you been able to enquire about the use of medicinal Cannabis Oil to hopefully help control it?  It IS apparently available, but needs lots of hoops jumped thru before you are allowed to use it  :(

Yes @Mikey, it is. They have advised us of this option.

Re cost of Melbourne workshop - the INFORMD website says $300 (after Sept 10) for clinicians etc, and $50 for members of a recognised consumer group. Would the BCNA be a recognised consumer group? Would forum members be recognised as members of BCNA? I will ask the question and post again when I have the answer.

Thanks for your words of encouragement kmakm.  I notice that on my post on this thread our email address got zapped (probably BCNA administrator policy). However, it is on the back of our paper on the Informd website.  Jean thanks members for their concern. She is going fine except for the bone and joint pain probably caused by the Femara. She is exploring pain management options.

Like you & Jean, I was also peeved at not being advised about my dense breast tissue!   If my GP hadn't picked it up (she had VERY sensitive fingertips!) my tumours would have been growing bigger every day for who knows how long, as the 'accepted methods have proved useless.

See who is running it in Melbourne and talk to them - maybe they can be enlightened and see the benefit of having consumers present as they did in Adelaide.BCNA might be willing to back that move too @Giovanna_BCNA
