Im bring this one back up as its an issue that has affected me greatly
i am about to do even less hours at work. And hope to retire completely within the next 18 months
Prior to cancer anyone could ask me have you seen this file. Or do you remember a particular thing. I could nearly always point them in the right direction if i had looked at the file or been involved in the discussion about it I could recall it from the depth of my brain.
I do word puzzles and brain training games. It helps with some things but definitely doesn’t bring back lost details.
The latest complaint i’m getting from family is my half sentences.
At the chemist yesterday picking up my prescription meds I only asked for one of them. Worst part was I was asked if I was sure thats all i needed. Turns out I had forgotten the main one my palbo. And got the AI which I didn’t really need yet now i have 6 weeks supply of that. If the other chemists assistant who orders it for me hadn’t walked in and questioned me as to why it was still on the shelf i would have gone home without it. Only remembering when my calendar alarm goes of telling me to start taking it
i hope one day there is more research into this side effect and ways to combat it.
Don’t get me started on learning and remembering new things Thats an absolute joke rules etc have changed so much in the last couple of years relating to work it is overwhelming me, hence retirement sooner than later.
I absolutely hate the fact that calculation i could do off the top of my head I am having to look up and follow step by step the how to guide
This has just taken me ages to type in. And on checking I had left bits out that i thought i had put in.
Oh well thats my gripe on memory
having a bad time with it stressing over it just makes it worse
BREATH JUST BREATH 1 step at a time not one day at a time
