Bleeding
Hi Thanks to all who answered my worrying question about bleeding from my bowels.
I saw my GP and she says after an inspection of my poor bottom, I have ulceration inside my rectum.
She has me o...
I am glad you saw the GP Airlie and that it is being treated. It will get better soon and that is the main thing. Just make sure to drink plenty of water and have as much as possible of soups and moist / wet foods as need to keep thesttool as soft as possible to speed up the healing process. And try to lie down as opposed to sitting as much as possible as well as those tears for some reason heal faster when not in seated position.
I am very early in this process (just 4 days past my 1st Chemo) but I guess same as yourself I have this knee jerk reaction of worrying if all those weird things may be cancer...
Just yesterday found myself looking at a bump that has been on my hand for 3 months now reducing a bit and the 1st thought was 'melanoma?' Since offcourse now that I have had Chemo anything that gets smaller must cancer....
I managed to stop myself at that point but I guess for a while yet it will be difficult to not think 'cancer spreading' or 'returning' at the smallest of things.
I am sure thiugh that at some stage we will get past it and be able to notice changes in ourselves without panicking.
Hugs
Jel.
