I felt like I was reading my story. Yes, 25 years married too. Two adult children and hubby has taken on everything. Well out of his comfort zone with the cooking and shopping but he did it!
my diet was water, pumpkin soup and quiche. Bread and potatoes were the most disgusting thing and even when I had finished chemo it took a while for me to eat them again. Taste is the little thing we all take for granted until it goes!
i too worried about my girls 23 & 20, and encouraged them to speak out and ask me anything and I always told them what was going on. I was hospitalised so many times and they knew when to be on alert for high temps and took me to hospital if hubby wasn't available. He has been with me to every appointment although now I'm on radiation and can finally drive myself, he can relax a bit.
you are doing so well. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Just take one day at a time. We are fortunate in that we have the best care given to us and support from family and friends. Yes, life goes on........
