Anyone know a good Breast Surgeon in Perth or Melbourne???
Hi all, I had Stage 3 breast cancer 5 years ago (this coming May) and I wasn't happy with the results from my double mastectomy performed by my oncoplastic surgeon in Perth. My breasts are much smaller than I requested even after expanders, and after radiation, my left breast is now an odd shape that is quite noticeable even with bra and clothing. I see so many great breast surgeons online, in particularly, non oncoplastic ones. Is it too risky just to see a general plastic surgeon? What are everyone's thoughts and do you have any recommendations for a great surgeon in Perth or even Melbourne??

- I'd only consult a plastic surgeon who specialises in breast reconstruction. Highly recommend Melbourne plastic surgeon Dean Trotter for breast reconstruction/surgery correction. He has great staff as well. Dean's work is outstanding, and he works in public and private hospitals. His rooms are in Richmond.
- Morning ladies I also had Meron and Damien, I'm really happy with my result.
Damien came in every day while I was in hospital and was there when I needed to go back in for surgery as I had a bleed.Great follow up with his nurses after surgery - Thanks so much @Pegasus2 @Cate64 @nikkid

- @nikkid Damien Grinsell did my reconstruction @ The Northern, he was working with Wanda Stelmach at that time..
- My Breast Surgeon was Miss Jane O'Brien, Epworth with reconstruction done by Mr Hamish Farrow of Hawthorn and I am extremely happy with my results

- Hey Ive been dealing Mr Craig Murphy at Freemasons in Melbourne for 6yrs, he's one of the Elite in Breast Surgery...he works very closely with Mr Dean Trotter Plastic Surgeon...Im having Mastectomy and Diep flap reconstruction on Monday. Dean Trotter comes highly recommended and is in Richmond. Hugs Melinda xo

Dr Meron Pitcher (her private rooms are attached to the Western Hospital, Footscray) is fabulous. Meron works for the Breastcreen as well and she's also head of surgery at Western Hospital: she is clever; empathetic; wonderful. :) Her plastic surgeon is Dr Damien Grinsell.
