I know that you wrote your post over a year ago, but I've just joined and I live in Yass. I had surgery to remove what had been diagnosed as a fibroadenoma from a core biopsy about 4 weeks ago. When I saw my breast surgeon prior to surgery she suggested it may actually be a phyllodes due to it fast growth over the past year and said then that she would take 1cm clear margins. As it turned out it was a benign phyllodes and it had clear margins so it was all contained. I now will have yearly ultrasound and checkups with my surgeon and bi yearly mammograms. If its any help for future appointments for you I see Dr Carolyn Cho at Deakin. Hope you are doing ok now.
