Already have implants

Just wondering if anybody is in the same boat as me? I already have breast implants and I am going to have a bilateral mastectomy. I will have these implants removed and still making a decision about what to do next. The only immediate thing I can have with my mastectomy is more implants, which would be done by the breast surgeon. I’m not sure that’s what I want long-term but it’s the only option if I want something straight away. Anybody in any similar situation? Just finding it stressful making decisions at this time.

    Newwingstoo​ Hopefully you have access to the group now and having conversations with others. You can also use the ‘Find a surgeon’ tool on the BreastSurgANZ website. Members of BreastSurgANZ sometimes offer reconstructive options or can recommend a plastic surgeon. Find plastic surgeons who specialise in breast reconstructive surgery from the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons.

    Newwingstoo​ hi there and welcome to the network of those that get it. We have private groups on here you might be interested in looking into joining. choosing breast reconstruction. If you go the groups tab scroll down select the category and ask to join. Not sure how long it will take for someone to respond. I believe its a valuable group for information as everyone there has been.
