Adjusting to bad news, staying hopeful, changing habits

Dr Google is rarely a good thing but we've all succumbed at times.  It is a really difficult thing to feel as if you're back in the dark with this.  I know very little about IBC but I'm assuming that you would have some sort of testing for this.  Did the surgeon give you a plan of action?  By all means, get a second opinion but possibly something that should be checked out even if the second specialist doesn't see it as a problem - you're going to be left wondering if nothing else.  Do try to talk to the woman you were speaking to before.  It may help settle your thoughts a little.
