I am not sure how much you use Somac, but many reflux meds (nexium too), are linked with an increased risk of osteoporosis, if used long term (we are talking years not just short periods of time like while on chemo). They can interfere with the absorption of calcium and hence cause bone loss. It is definitely ONLY if used consistently for years, not just short term use. But I thought I would mention it in case you were not aware of this and maybe it could be adding to your bone loss situation.
